though I’m not a super plane buff, I recall that spitfire planes got a lot of glory while the majority of their sorties were carried out by Hawker Hurricanes (anti bomber operations)
and has to seemed content to have spitfire the mare cruise more on reputation and example rather than practical effect....
just thought that was interesting if not even more ironic
